"Nothing worth while is easy."
-Elizabeth A. Beroes, my mom

"I always look for an actor who 'SHINES', who develops a space around herself in which spectators are also present. Many adsorb this space into themselves, excluding spectators, and the experience becomes too private. My aim is not to provide therapy through theatre. In any process of creation the object made no longer belongs to the Creator. The aim of this actor of creation is to bear fruit which then separates from the tree. The search for self-enlightenment and spiritual bliss have little attraction. The ego is superfluous. I prefer to see more distance between the actor's own ego and the character performed. This allows the performer to play even better. Actors usually perform baldly in plays whose concerns are too close to their own. They adopt a sort of blank voice because they retain part of the text for themselves without being able to hand it on to the public. Neither belief nor identification is enough - one must genuinely 'Play'. "
-Jacques Lecoq

"We must overcome the notion that we must be regular...it robs you of the chance to be extraordinary and leads you to the mediocre."
-Uta Hagan

"Create your own method. Don;t depend slavishly on mine. Make up something that will work for you! But keep breaking traditions, I beg you.
-Constantin Stanislavski

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
-Eleanor Roosevelt
